Research proposal abstract

In this retrospective study we want to evaluate the data of the Dutch Arthroplasty register (LROI) of THAs from 2008 to 2022. We aim to investigate whether revision rate for dislocation demonstrates a time-dependent relation to surgical approach, and hypothesize that there is a short- and long-term advantage
of the direct anterior approach (DAA) compared to the posterolateral approach (PLA) with regard to the incidence of revision for dislocation.
